Pinfire pepperboxes
Pinfire pepperboxes are quite rare. The pepperbox consists of a bundle of barrels instead of a single barrel and cylinder as used in a revolver. Most pepperboxes are smoothbores reducing it’s accuracy dramatically. Since there is no gap between cylinder and barrel these guns are more powerful than revolvers but more expensive to produce. Pepperboxes have less problems due to powder fouling but a disadvantage is the greater weight.
